Alec Marsh
Alec Marsh is a journalist and thriller writer from Essex. He is the author of the Drabble and Harris series published by Headline and set in the late 1930s. The first in the series, Rule Britannia, was described by Ian Rankin as ‘a rollicking good read’ and sees Drabble confront a pro-Nazi conspiracy. The latest book in the series, Ghosts of the West, is set in 1937 and begins with a grave robbery in Kent… one that leads all the way to the plains of the America’s west. 
 
Mark Ellis:
Mark Ellis is a thriller writer from Swansea and a former barrister and entrepreneur. He is the creator of the Frank Merlin series. DCI Frank Merlin, a Scotland Yard detective battling crime on the Home Front in Second World War London. There are five books so far in the series and the sixth will be out later in the year. The first book in the series, The Embassy Murders, is set in January 1940. The most recent, Dead in The Water, is set in August 1942. The third in the series, The French Spy, was nominated for a CWA Dagger in 2018.
 
 
Alex Gerlis
Born in Lincolnshire, Alex was a BBC journalist for nearly 30 years. His first novel – The Best of Our Spies – was published in 2012, since when he has had a further ten Second World War espionage novels published, selling more than 600,000 copies. His next book ­– Every Spy a Traitor – is published in June by Canelo and is the first in a new four part series covering the 1930s through to the Cold War.
