The Short Story: creation and crafting
A six week course with Sarah Armstrong, creative writing tutor and published short story writer.
Suitable for all abilities, this course will allow you to learn or refresh the basics of short story writing.
Tuesday evenings 31st January - 6th March 2012 6.30 - 8.00 pm
Week 1: Basics: point of view, tense, showing and telling, senses
Week 2: Character: making, finding and opposites
Week 3: Setting: time and place
Week 4: Research: using your own experiences and found lives
Week 5: Structure: plot, pace, beginnings and endings
Week 6: Workshop (your stories)

The course fee is £60.00.
A £10.00 deposit will reserve your place with the balance due at the first class.

We are hoping to follow this with a longer course on novel writing a little later in the year.
