Emma Healey dropped by to see us last summer when her debut novel, ‘Elizabeth is Missing’, was first published. Since then her brilliant novel has gone on to become a national number one best seller and win the Costa Book of the Year 2015. We are delighted that Emma is coming back for a return visit during Independent Bookshop Week and will be here for an informal talk and discussion about her novel writing. ‘Elizabeth is Missing’ is a novel that has done much to increase awareness of the problems of dementia.
Tuesday 23rd June 2015: 12.30 pm -1.30 pm
Talk and discussion with Emma Healey.
Maud’s been getting forgetful. She keeps buying peach slices when she has a cupboard full, forgets to drink the cups of tea she’s made and writes notes to remind herself of things. But Maud is determined to discover what has happened to her friend, Elizabeth, and what it has to do with the unsolved disappearance of her sister Sukey just after the Second World War.
